Hi there!
I thought we should start from finding out a bit about the company you work for...
Here are some questions for the Wednesday group
What's the history behind ORMA?
Where's the company based?
What does the company do exactly?
How big is the company?
What do you do at ORMA?
N.B. Ogni studente può scegliere di rispondere a una domanda. La risposta va inserita nei commenti - Sarebbe utile ricopiare la domanda per evitare confusione.

What do you do at ORMA?
....Hi Marie, in my opinion I do my best! I have "a little bit" to do every day and I' m often under stress for the tight deadlines such as check clock in, if a worker is ill (but I cannot every day!) or call each worker if we are in redandance and he cannot view the notice board (often); make invoices because we need money every day because market is in crisis...check invoices for accountancy and for declaration of italian VAT- every mounth; make declaration for goods that come from Cee- every mounth- and to be ready to found a solution for every inconvenience that will be in every day!....sometimes I would like to rest to my home, in my bed or in this season on the beach!...
thanks Rosanna! that was a good start.. Ricordati che in English il - soggetto va ripetuto (I.... I.... I... unless is well linked)
- ..."since we have tight deadlines to meet"
- ...." relax at home or lie in bed all day
- ..... "ready to find/or work out .."
Hi Maria,
how are you? I hope very well!
You did some questions for the Wednesday group but they regard only Orma.
I prefer write about my colleagues.
You know I share the office with four ladies: Anna, Camilla, Maria Rosaria and Rosanna…you are wondering how I can survive!!!
Joking aside…I think I’m very lucky because I stay at work 9 hours per day with some likeable people.
Anna, by this time, is a good friend. She has a smiling face always (nearly!) and she has a contagious laughter and she is chatterer.
I must say that Anna is a good company and she is a good-heart girl.
I think that if a day we don’t work together any more I’ll miss her very much…sorry, I’ve made a mistake!
If she became my son's mother-in-law, I will not ever free! Oh my God…it’s a problem!! I must solve it!
Now Maria, I must stop to write because I must work.
In the second episode I’ll write about…it is a surprise!
Bye bye
Danila
Danila, your piece of work made me smile!! and I needed it!!
You're very lucky to have such a wonderful working environment! it would have been really hard to work with people you can't stand or find difficult to get along with.
Notes on the language:
- by this time ... = by this time next year ... Nel tuo contesto potevi semplicemente dire "We've known each other for ... (by now) we have become good friends"
- If one day ... (it's better)
- I must stop + ing form
Il verbo to stop è seguito dalla –ing form quando la frase significa smettere di fare qualcosa. E’ invece seguito dall’Infinito quando la frase significa fermarsi per fare qualcosa.
Stop talking!
He stopped to talk to her.
good afternoon Mary!
how are you?
it's a long time I don't hearing you....sorry but I forget some of english, it's sure....in these last months I didn't practice because I haven't internet connection to my personal computer and at work I never had time for a little break of english...but today: it's possible!
I send you my best regards
waiting for hearing from you
have a nice day
bye bye
